Plan goals are to promote wildfire awareness and target fire prevention and safety information across at-risk communities, promote cooperative emergency fire response, identify available resources and needs, and review interagency communication and suppression strategies, identify, assess, and reduce hazardous fuels, coordinate risk reduction strategies, and prioritize fuel reduction areas and projects, complete annual monitoring and evaluation to assess progress and effectiveness and recommend changes as appropriate. The CCWPP improves upon historical fire planning efforts by providing a more localized and accurate approach for determining wildfire hazards and implementing best practices for wildfire protection in balance with sustainable ecological management and economic activities throughout Clackamas County.
