Troon vintages were offered starting in 1993 with River Guide Red (Donna Devine, winemaker, Siskiyou vineyard), and Chardonnay (made at Bridgeview Vineyards and Winery). Dick developed Druid’s Fluid, which he describes as “red with training wheels.” Regarded as a pioneer viticulturist in the Applegate Valley, he created a course in viticulture taught at Rogue Community College by Charles Coury of Forest Grove. The 10-acre property was purchased by Dan and Cindy Marca in 2007. The vineyards are primarily located on northeast facing slopes that are situated at varied elevations of between 1710 and 1905 feet. DANCIN is a true micro vineyard and winery, which gives the Marcas the ability and freedom to meticulously care for and cultivate nearly 5000 vines. They believe that attention to detail in the vineyard will ultimately translate into healthier fruit that requires less intervention in the winery leading to exceptional wine. An additional 10 acres was planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in 2014.
