Other activities included (1) determining seasonal growth of Pacific oysters in Yaquina Bay, (2) cooperating with the BCF Oxford laboratory on a study of the neoplastic disease in native oysters, Ostrea lurida, and (3) obtaining information on the longevity of Pacific oysters, Crassostrea gigas." (Introduction) During the study year, 8.6% of Pacific oysters in Yaquina Bay and 26.5% of the native Olympia oysters there died.
