We examine whether or not this perspective is also held by self-identified feminists in the general public. Drawing on public opinion polls from 2007 to 2009, we assess self-identified feminists’ attitudes toward a range of social policies. We find that after controlling for sociodemographic factors and political ideology, feminist identity is associated with progressive attitudes on policies related to gender and sexuality (e.g., abortion) as well as policies related to other social justice issues (e.g., immigration, health care). We also find some interactions between feminist identity and gender, age, education, and political ideology, suggesting some heterogeneity in feminists’ political attitudes. Overall, these findings suggest that feminists in the general public support an intersectional social justice agenda rather than a narrow focus on gender issues. This rings true in higher education, where there is immense pressure for institutions to build service and digital experiences that match what students experience in their broader lives. In the context of recent critiques of higher education, and corresponding demands from policymakers, the general public and students/customers to lower costs, deliver more educational value, and provide an educated workforce to meet economic demands, this work is critically important. However, while students view e-services as a total package that includes administrative and learning services that together constitute a collective digital experience, little is known about this overarching landscape, as most studies on e-services in higher education focus on particular categories of e-services, such as mobile learning. Through an exploratory literature review, this study seeks to fill in gaps in the literature by clearly defining higher education e-services and anchor their importance in societal and institutional goals to improve undergraduate degree attainment. The breakthroughs and manufacturing cost reductions made in sensors and MicroElectro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS), as well as the advancements in integrated hardware and software systems technologies have given rise to the area of mobile health (mHealth) monitoring. mHealth monitoring systems give more control into the hands of the person to be in charge of their own health and maintain their sense of independence, especially as the population ages. The technology can also enable researchers to study pertinent diseases using continuous kinematic data. Fitbit is a respected firm that has been bringing innovative health and fitness tracking systems to the market since 2007. Their focus has been primarily on fitness bands until 2014 when they are introduced the smart fitness watch, Fitbit Surge. In this paper, we have studied the competitive landscape for the smartwatch which is the next logical extension that Fitbit is trying to establish in terms of product offerings. Given the complex nature of this market, both product-based and resource-based views are applied in order to develop the recommended competitive strategies for Fitbit. Participants consisted of students over the age of 18 at an urban institution in the Pacific Northwest. Bivariate logistical regression and axial coding were used to analyze participant responses. The first hypothesis for this study is that multiracial college students experience more microaggressions in social settings, while monoracial students experience more microaggressions in academic settings. The second hypothesis is that multiracial students experience privilege in academic settings, while monoracial students experience privilege in social settings. The final hypothesis is that the shade of skin tone of participants impact their experiences with privilege, as well as their experience of microaggressions. Researchers found that multiracial students have a higher likelihood of experiencing microaggressions in a social setting and people with darker skin tones have a higher likelihood of experiencing microaggressions in an academic setting.   Citation × Citation Citation Abstract Copy Title: The geology of the Floras Creek area, Curry County, Oregon Author: Bounds, Jon Dudley Year: 1982 The Floras Creek area, east of the town of Langlois, near the southwest Oregon coast, includes Colebrooke Schist (a klippe of metamorphosed pelitic sediments of Jurassic age), Jurassic Otter Point Formation (a melange complex), and lower the middle Eocene Roseburg and Lookingglass Formations, part of a sandstone-shale sequence occurring more extensively in other areas. The Colebrooke Schist occurs in the south-central part of the area, bounded on the Otter Point and Roseburg. The Lookingglass is exposed as a small (1.5 sq. km) block in the north-north-west part of the area. Two major structural trends are found in the Floras Creek area; an older Mesozoic east-west normal fault trend which is truncated by younger serpentinitefilled, north-south shear zones. The younger fault trend was active into the Tertiary as the faults cut the Eocene. Detrital modal analyses of sandstones suggest that the Otter Point is related to the coeval Dothan Formation of the interior Klamath Mountains, in the same way that the Franciscan is related to the Great Valley sequence in California. The detrital modal analysis indicates that the Otter Point is trench-slope deposited sediments as is the Franciscan and the Dothan is forearc basin deposits similar to the Great Valley.
