We talk about the implementation of the service: from choosing software platforms and scanning hardware to deciding on document delivery policies and marketing strategies. We then will share some usage statistics and provide insights into who the users of this service are and how they are using it. We will also provide some testimonials from faculty who are using the service. With our conclusion we will share how we have benefited from this service and and include our suggestions for other libraries who are considering implementing a similar service. Communications with donors, however, encompass a wide range of activities, is ongoing, and may even span decades with an individual donor. Library staff not directly involved with fundraising may not even think about donors as part of their user audience, but almost everyone who works in a library has a potential role in communicating with donors. Washington is distinctly and deliberately isolated from its immediate surroundings and is the center of an international information network. Los Angeles is the production and distribution center of an international region - Mexico and the United States. A valuable measure of the difference is the high proportion of professional workers in Washington, in contrast to the employment structure in Los Angeles, which closely reflects the national pattern. Since the 1890's, regional history has been an active enterprise supported by academic instruction, leading university presses, specialized journals, and professional organizations. A survey of college and university departments of history yielded data to analyze the present ambiguous position of regional history within the evolving discipline of American historical studies. The analysis suggests that science fiction can help planners to understand the influence of a range of social theories on public understanding of planning issues. The project is intended to help revitalize Chinatown and provide needed services to Portland’s Asian community. To aid the Committee in achieving their goals, four Masters students in the Professional Planning Workshop at Portland State University completed a needs assessment of Chinese-American seniors in the Portland metropolitan area. This report presents the findings and recommendations of the Planning Workshop Group.
