Newton is a veteran of 4 1/2 years in the Army with 3 1/2 years of service overseas in the Southwest Pacific as a Technical Sergeant. He served for a while with the 41st Division and finished his service as an instructor in an Officer's Candidate School in Brisbane, Australia; June 25, 1946; Photo by J. E.
