In this process report we are going to highlight some of the techniques and concepts adapted from [1] for developing our product. The Trip Kit is a product that is designed to be secured into a car seat, and secure various items that people tend to carry in their cars. There will be some fixed compartments for bottle/cup holders and some customizable dividers similar to drawer dividers. This prevents loose items in your car rolling about, driver needing access to items while driving, and securing food and drink items. The paper covers all the characteristics required for a successful product development and the roadmap for the product development process. Sustainable design is a design philosophy that seeks to minimize or eliminate negative impact to the natural environment through skillful and sensitive design. The importance of including sustainability at the fuzzy front end includes but is not limited to early tackling of barriers, enabling doing the right things versus doing things right and providing a platform to tackle sustainability problems at a higher system level. This study also analyzed tools for implementing sustainability at the fuzzy front end. They include, decision matrix, Eco compass, strategy list, cost analysis, creativity techniques, rules of thumb, expert rules etc. A survey was carried out to understand how organizations’ perceive sustainability; if these organizations include sustainability in their new product development process and most importantly if this implementation is done at the fuzzy front end. The survey results suggests that organizations are aware of the importance of including sustainability in the new product development process; however, implementing sustainability at the fuzzy front end is moderate. Making the proper decision is consequential and potentially fraught with risks for the firm such as competitive exposure, high expenditures with inadequate returns, restrictive inbound or outbound patent licensing obligations, and related complications. This study presents a framework to guide managers in the ICT industry in assessing the factors that inform the decision to participate in the development of technology standards. Using multi-criteria decision analysis and judgment data from panels of experts, a robust model is developed that comprehends the essential criteria and outcomes within the context of computer interconnect technologies. The resultant, generalizable model is validated against the case of the extant Universal Serial Bus (USB) interconnect standard and found to be congruent with the assessment of the experts. Scholarship on technology standards development is rich and multifaceted--spanning numerous streams of inquiry. This research contextualizes technology standardization within the economic, strategic, organizational, and legal perspectives. The resultant model demonstrates that strategic planning is regarded by the experts as the principal driver in the decision to participate in a technology standardization effort. Furthermore, the primacy of commitment and leadership within the standards-setting organization is unambiguously established through rigorous quantitative analysis. The proposed model verifies that the firm's desire to align its product roadmap to the emerging standard is the chief criterion in the decision to contribute to the standards development effort. Other criteria of high interest include the leveraging of network externalities to glean disruptive trends within the ecosystem, the exploration of opportunities to expand the total available market for the firm, and the availability and terms of IP licenses. Sensitivity analysis affirms the overall predictive strength and robustness of the model and its widespread applicability. Future research on model expansion and application to other technologies, as well as the development of uniform patent valuation methods will further enrich the knowledge base. In order to achieve enduring success, companies should acquire and sustain their technological capabilities to generate internal and external effects within an uncertain socio-economic demand. The research is aimed to present in the context of new auto technology with a view to achieve understanding of strategic management of innovative technology. The chosen company and the model vehicle is Toyota Mirai HFC. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles seem to be the substitute for more than one billion cars on the road. Once it is successfully launched in the commercial market. These vehicles work with the power generated as a result of a reaction between hydrogen and oxygen in the fuel cell, which produces the energy for the vehicle with water as the only residue. In light with the recent environmental issues challenging auto industry’s development, increases in price of traditional fuel (as gasoline, etc.), regulatory control in all developed or developing nations, the efforts are on the technology across industry around the globe. Trucks and Buses Company (TBCo) management decided to change its strategic management by developing its production plant to hold the leadership position in Libya and Africa. The new company’s strategy targeted the Tripoli’s manufacture by developing the assemble lines with the last technology in this field. The change will lead the company to maintain its market share and keeping its competitive advantage in the domestic and Africa market. Before the final decision of the change, several brainstorming sessions took place to evaluate the company new strategy. In 2012, I was involved in the company’s initial decision evaluation processes as one of the consultants’ people who invited to support the company’s decision for the change. Therefore, I mainly depended in this project on my own experience in the strategic and project management, and the available information and data from my previous contribution in the company’s discussions. Also, I targeted the ETM-526/626 class material and techniques to help me evaluating the change with considering the competitive advantage requirements. Finally, I proposed some solutions and recommendations that can be useful for the company’s final proposal.
