(United States Bureau of Reclamation) employee in charge of the pump houses in the Tulelake area of the Klamath Project, pours oil into a reservoir on a 33 1/3 second feet pump in Pumping Plant "A". Newton is a veteran of 4 1/2 years in the Army with 3 1/2 years of service overseas in the Southwest Pacific as a Technical Sergeant. He served for a while with the 41st Division and finished his service as an instructor in an Officer's Candidate School in Brisbane, Australia; June 25, 1946; Photo by J. E. Therefore, it becomes necessary to find other uses for this abundance. This starch drier is part of a starch glucose converter plant being constructed at Hatfield, California near the Oregon State Line. This machinery was shipped from Laurel, Miss., where it was used for the conversion of starch from sweet potatoes. This machinery is part of a surplus government plant which was purchased by local interests; June 25, 1946; Photo by J. E.
